The Weather in Andaman and Nicobar Islands A Little Rain, A Little Sun and Lots of Fun!

Map

The climate of the Andaman and Nicobar is what is expected of all tropical islands in the Indian Ocean- warm sunshine, some rain, and plenty of humidity! There are only two seasons, i.e. when it isn’t raining, it is hot. There’s no such thing as the winter season here. But thanks to the cool sea breeze, temperatures remain at an average of around 23°C to 30°C.

The monsoons which last from May to August and between November to December are considered off season. While the weather is sure to remain pleasant, the rain might play spoilsport as water sport activities and sightseeing areas are likely to be closed. September to October is considered post monsoon and a slightly better time to visit. But rain can again be a factor as sudden albeit slight drizzle is common. November is much better, but December to April is considered the best season as the weather is perfect for sightseeing and the water conditions are just perfect for water sport activities.

As earlier said, humidity is a major factor- it can be almost 80% throughout the year! So make sure that you are well prepared before you arrive.
